Belvedere Vodka Launches New Cocktail at Jupiters

belvedere-spritz-range-at-garden-kitchen-bar-2The world’s original luxury vodka, Belvedere has released a new contender for the title of Summer drink of choice with the Queensland launch of its Belvedere Spritz Collection at Jupiters Gold Coast’s Garden Kitchen & Bar overnight.

Made of 100% natural and low-sugar cocktails, the Spritz Collection is a celebration of Belvedere’s natural roots and comes with the common message: keep it simple, real and clear, and was launched to a handpicked group of restaurant owners, bar tenders and sommeliers yesterday.

Faithful to the popular “spritz”  recipe, the base of creating a Belvedere Spritz is Belvedere Vodka teamed with a naturally flavoured modifier (such as vermouth or aromatised wine), sparkling water and two fresh garnishes (traditionally a herb and a citrus), served over ice.

General Manager Food and Beverage at Jupiters Gold Coast Richard Gush said the Belvedere Spritz Collection was the perfect fit for Garden Kitchen & Bar and he was expecting Gold Coasters to jump on the drink coming into the warmer months.

“We have seen a shift recently where diners really enjoy being involved in the narrative behind their food and to know how natural and fresh the ingredients are, and the Belvedere Spritz is the perfect example of this trend translating to drinks,” he said.

“The beauty of this range is that we can really utilise the natural and native ingredients of our own home state Queensland, which is something that we already do with our seasonal menu at Garden Kitchen & Bar.

“The refreshing cocktail is the perfect accompaniment with our Mooloolaba spanner crab cakes, our pork belly with apple glaze and celeriac, or even our red quinoa salad which comes with range of seasonal roasted and raw vegetables.”

Featured in the range, the signature Belvedere Spritz is made of Lillet Blanc, two grapefruit slices and a sprig of thyme, with other highlights including the Citrus Spritz (dry vermouth, lemon and lime slices), the Spiced Spritz (sweet vermouth, orange slices and star anise), and the Pineapple Spritz (Lillet Blanc, pineapple slices and fresh ginger).

In accordance with the Polish geographical appellation, which protects a 600-year vodka making tradition, Belvedere Vodka is crafted from two exceptional ingredients – Dankowskie Gold rye and artesian water – ensuring the finished product remains pure, with no additives or enhancements.

Belvedere chooses a natural, minimalist approach not only in its production but also when it comes to cocktails. The Belvedere Spritz Collection is a selection of deliciously refreshing long drinks full of fruity flavour, low in sugar and simple to create.

Ricardo Antunes, Belvedere Senior Brand Manager for Australia said Garden Kitchen & Bar was the perfect venue in Queensland to launch the cocktail range.

“At Belvedere, we believe that being natural should flow into everything we do, and our new manifesto highlights our all-natural attitude, from the fresh local ingredients we select, to the agriculture partners we support, to the environmental impact we strive to reduce,” he said.

“This manifesto is something that we saw reflected in Garden Kitchen & Bar across not only its seasonal menu but the location which has such a focus on bringing the outdoors in – it was an easy decision to hold the Queensland launch of the Spritz collection here.

“As we keep our vodka simple and naturally full of flavour, our drinks should follow a similar recipe. The Belvedere Spritz Collection is the best embodiment of this philosophy, all low in sugar, all refreshing and delicious.”

The Belvedere Spritz Collection will be available to order at select bars and restaurants around Australia from October 2016, and in Garden Kitchen & Bar from Thursday September 15.
