If you’ve ever wanted to ski the best back country slopes in the world, ride a motorbike over the highest pass in the world, or surf the most perfect waves in the world, the Big Adventure Club is now open for travel.

The Big Adventure Club is the brainchild of adventure tourism industry veteran Iain Lygo.

In 2017 the club is offering 6 iconic tours for members. They include back country skiing in British Columbia, mountain bike trekking from the Colorado Mountains to the Utah desert, surfing in Indonesia, cycling in France, motor bike trekking in the Himalayas, and diving off West Papua.

“The tours are basically a bucket list created by friends who are seasoned travellers with a passion for surfing, skiing, diving, and riding.” said club director Iain Lygo.

The adventures are not site-seeing tours, but are designed for active people who want to experience the world’s best adventure activities during the best possible seasons.

Membership of the club is free, but paying members get booking priority and the best rooms on tours. Tier A and Tier B subscription members also have options to bring friends and partners on tour.

The club also has tier upgrades for members with medical training.

“All our guides are wilderness group leader certified but it’s great to have a doctor, registered nurse, physio or paramedic on tour. Membership upgrades for medical professionals provides an additional level of guest safety.” said Iain Lygo.

The Big Adventure Club is also offering a corporate membership package so company’s can reward their best staff, VIPs, and suppliers with once-in-a-lifetime adventure activities.

Many of the tours are difficult to do as individuals due to complex logistics, while others are just more fun in groups. The Big Adventure Club can also offer great rates when boats, mountain huts, and helicopters are at capacity.

“I’m hoping the club become very collegiate with like minded members from a range of backgrounds becoming good friends and going on multiple trips a year.”

The club’s motto is “Life is not a spectator sport.”
