Save 20 per cent, plus free flight and hotel stays – and no single supplement

For the first time, expedition cruise line, Adventure Canada, and Australia’s Cruise Traveller will combine two cruises in 2019 – an 11-night circumnavigation of Ireland and a 10-night expedition right around Scotland’s coast and islands – to form a ‘Big British Break’. To mark the release of the 23-night package, free hotel stays in Dublin and Glasgow are being offered along with a free flight between the two cities and a 20 per cent saving. Solo passengers can also travel in selected cabins without paying any supplement.

Renowned for taking passengers off the beaten tourist trail to unique and less visited destinations, Adventure Canada is now bringing its immersive travel expertise to Britain, with its first foray to Ireland since 2012.

After a free night’s hotel stay in Dublin on June 8, 2019, guests will board Adventure Canada’s ship, Ocean Endeavour, to circumnavigate the ‘Emerald Isle’, with its friendly folk, rolling countryside, charming villages and rugged seascapes. Highlights of the cruise include sailing past the picturesque Skellig Islands which featured in Star Wars film, ‘The Last Jedi’, touring the beautiful Dingle Peninsula, visiting the mysterious and unique Giant’s Causeway and exploring the huge Rock of Cashel, an extensive historic site featuring Celtic art and medieval architecture. The cruise will also include the beautiful Ring of Kerry, as well as castles, cathedrals, national parks, Irish pubs, vibrant cities and villages, and the dramatic Cliffs of Moher – which are up to 200 metres tall and featured in the classic cult film, ‘The Princess Bride’. The expedition cruise will also take guests to Tory Island, a fascinating and remote island inhabited by a small Gaelic community of fewer than 200 people with their own king.

Guests will then fly to Glasgow for a hotel stay before reboarding the Ocean Endeavour for a 10-night ‘Scotland Slowly’ expedition cruise. Inspired by the notion that Scotland, like a good whiskey, is best savoured slowly, the cruise will showcase the wildlife, scenery, history, nature and culture of Scotland’s shores. Highlights of the journey include the fascinating birdlife of the Hebrides Islands, Stone Age ruins, Neolithic burial sites, Norse remains and an opportunity to purchase the world-famous Harris Tweed, which is hand-woven from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Hebrides Islands. The cruise will culminate in Aberdeen, from which guests can begin their journey home.

Departing June 8, 2019, Adventure Canada’s 23-night ‘Big British Break’ package is available from US$12, 870 per person, twin share, or for solo cabin use, which represents a 20 per cent saving. Fares include the two inclusive cruises plus a free night each in Glasgow and Dublin and a free flight from Ireland to Scotland. Flights from Australia are extra. The offer is available until January 19, 2019, or until sold out. Conditions apply.
