BIG Move Proves A Success For BIG Family

While it can be daunting for a family of seven to relocate interstate, the Robinsons have demonstrated the bold move can be successful. Former Victorians Peter and Tanya Robinson have proved to be a hit since crossing the Bass Strait to take ownership of two well-known Tasmanian parks: BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park and BIG4 Ulverstone Holiday Park.

The couple have a ton of experience owning and managing holiday parks and are aided by a small army of helpers that firmly emphasises the term ‘family affair’. Peter and Tanya’s five sons are on hand to assist with duties across the two parks such as maintenance, cleaning, and manning reception.

Peter and Tanya have embraced this exciting new chapter for their family and hope to make a number of improvements to the parks by further building on the work achieved by the Walls family.

“We are delighted to now be a part of BIG4 Holiday Parks. After working in the industry for many years, this is a great opportunity for all of us to be part of a reputable network and a have a fresh venture in a new location. To start, we are exploring the feasibility of several projects including a multipurpose leisure centre at BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park that will be accessible to both park clients and the local community” Peter said.

Welcoming the family to the group, BIG4 Holiday Parks CEO Steven Wright believes their collaborative ownership will lead to increased visitor numbers in the area.

“BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park and BIG4 Ulverstone Holiday Park are both fantastic setups. In their first few months, Peter and Tanya have already excelled in delivering an outstanding experience for guests, evidenced by strong feedback and increased bookings. We’re thrilled to have them on board,” Steven said.

BIG4 St Helens Holiday Park, the recipient of the 2014 Tourist and Caravan Park Tasmanian Tourism Award, is situated on the East Coast of Tasmania, close to world-renowned Binalong Bay and the Bay of Fires.

BIG4 Ulverstone Holiday Park is on the North West coast, just 20 minutes from Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal and near an abundance of recreational parks, playgrounds, swimming beaches, fishing, golf courses and restaurants.
