Off the back of a successful 2016 which saw him host two Network Ten television series: My Market Kitchen and A Taste of Travel, as well as release his first cookbook Outback Pantry, Lynton is jumping into 2017 with continued enthusiasm.
The second season of My Market Kitchen is currently being filmed in Melbourne with Lynton hosting alongside best-friend Emma Dean. Lynton is excited that this will be their best work yet:
“My Market Kitchen is a fantastic show to be a part of. I love that it encourages people to buy locally from farmers markets and to use ingredients that aren’t often included in day-to-day cooking. Plus, it’s always fun working with friends,” says Lynton Tapp on the upcoming series.
With such a solid filming schedule, one would expect Lynton to take his foot off the accelerator, however this isn’t the case. Lynton isn’t one to rest on his laurels and is also preparing his second cookbook, due to be released before the year is out.
Lynton has long been an advocate for Australian cuisine and enjoys using indigenous and sustainably sourced ingredients wherever possible. Lynton’s upcoming cookbook is testament to this and includes recipes such as hiramasa kingfish with pomello; rosella and prosecco jelly; or roasted youlk with burnt honey and yoghurt.
