With the combination of school holidays, the Yorke Peninsula Field Days and October long weekend, why not head to Yorke Peninsula for a brilliant break in one of South Australia’s best backyards? Yorke Peninsula Tourism Manager Jo Barrie says that it is a fantastic time to visit Yorke Peninsula, “With the weather warming up and some fantastic events on offer, we will welcome an influx of visitors to the region. There’s a great range of events throughout the region from the biennial Yorke Peninsula Field Days to the Coopers Yorkes Surfing Classic, markets, garage sales, pancake breakfasts, concerts and much more.”

Ms Barrie says, “The Yorke Peninsula Field Days are celebrating their 120th year at the 2015 event. These are the oldest field days in Australia with an amazing multi-million dollar display of farming equipment and machinery, as well as general interest and lifestyle over 3 days.”

“South Australia’s most prestigious pro-am surfing event, the Coopers Yorkes Surfing Classic will be held in Innes National Park over the October long weekend. See the talented surfers in action and enjoy the spectacular wildflowers throughout the park.”
