At a gala beachside ceremony on Saturday night, BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort was again recognised as an industry leader winning the Whitsunday Tourism Award category “Caravan and Holiday Parks”.
Proudly owned by the McKinnon family for 23 years, the family have worked consistently over this time to create a nationally recognised holiday resort in Airlie Beach with extensive facilities, a choice of quality accommodation and a friendly environment for holiday makers set amongst 10 hectares of beautiful tropical gardens.
Owner Greg McKinnon said, “we are as excited to receive this award as we were the first time we won it! We’ve now received over 30 awards showing our commitment to our guests, our staff, our resort and creating a tourism product that provides wonderful holiday memories for thousands of visitors to the Whitsundays every year.”
Mr McKinnon added, “we would like to acknowledge every local business who took the time to enter the tourism awards as it is a process that helps us all to improve and benchmark excellence in the industry. The awards conduct a thorough assessment of our business and help all operators to undertake an annual audit and assess their strengths and weaknesses. Congratulations to all finalists and winners for your outstanding contribution to the Whitsunday and Queensland tourism industry.”
