Big4 Macdonnell Range Holiday Park Celebrates 30 Years

BIG4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park is gearing up for a huge celebration on Sunday 6 April, 2014 to mark 30 years of providing the ultimate holiday experience in Alice Springs.

Legian Beach Hotel-httpwww.legianbeachbaliFrom humble beginnings as a small market garden in the 1970s, the family owned and operated park has developed into a tourist haven and is now the most awarded holiday park in the Northern Territory. As the gateway to the red centre, ancient cultures and breathtaking outback horizons, it’s not hard to see why this park has become a favourite for local, interstate and international guests.

To thank the community for 30 years of continued support, park owners Brendan and Bev Heenan, are inviting locals and tourists to a free family fun day at the park on Sunday 6 April. Visitors will be treated to a pancake breakfast from 9am accompanied by a didgeridoo performance. There will also be face painting for kids, a bouncy castle, live entertainment, camel rides and some guests of the slithering kind with a presentation from the local Alice Springs Reptile Centre.

To join in the free fun, guests must register their attendance at www.surveymonkey.com/s/MacDonnell30years. All guests go into the draw to win an accommodation package.

Guests staying at the park in April will also receive a free anniversary stainless steel wine goblet (conditions apply – 1 per booking, must stay minimum 3 nights), as well as free upgrades and discounted BIG4 memberships throughout April.

“We’re so proud to reach this milestone, so we really wanted to share the celebration with those that have supported us for 30 years – the Alice Springs community,” Brendan said.

“We would love local families and tourists to join us for a pancake brekky or a snag during the day to help us reflect on the past 30 years and welcome the next 30,” Brendan added.

BIG4 MacDonnell Range has been crowned best holiday park in the Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards 22 times and was recently named the top NT holiday park in the 2013 Holidays with Kids’ Readers’ Choice Awards. The multi-award winning park is nestled in the MacDonnell Ranges, a unique region of scenic bushland, waterholes and diverse wildlife. Surrounded by a red sand desert that stretches as far as the eye can see, the park is the perfect base for exploring Australia’s awe-inspiring outback.

The park offers a wide range of varied accommodation options from deluxe villas and simple cabins to large, grassed camping and caravan sites. The park is home to a swimming pool, kids’ activities, and landscaped gardens all in a quiet and tranquil environment with scenic mountain views.
