Bloomington, Minnesota Welcomes New Luxury Hotels

New luxury hotels, new one-of-a-kind restaurants and unique new attractions make Bloomington the perfect destination for tourists and business travelers. 


Bloomington is home to Mall of America, the largest enclosed entertainment and retail complex in the Western Hemisphere. No tax on clothing and shoes, along with over 40 hotels to choose from including two world class hotels connected directly to the Mall, make it the perfect destination for the international traveler. Direct access from Mall of America to The Radisson Blu Mall of America and the brand new JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America provide guests convenience plus modern amenities and exceptional service.

Cedar+Stone, Urban Table, led by celebrated Executive Chef Everton Clarke & Executive Sous Chef Laura Bartholomew, whose menu offers refined, crafted dishes inspired by Minnesota’s natural roots & local culture.

Newly opened in February 2016, the Hyatt Regency Bloomington – Minneapolis is adjacent to the Metro Transit Blue Line Light Rail and is only one stop from Mall of America and two stops from Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. UrbanaCraft Kitchen & Market features Chef Paul Lynch, who proudly represents regional food and “taste of place.”
New attractions in Mall of America include FlyOver America, a flight simulation ride that opened this spring, and Crayola
Experience, a 60,000 sq ft attraction opening Summer of 2016. FlyOver America will have riders soaring across some of America’s most spectacular sites; the latest in ride technology gives a 4D experience of sight, sound, smell and feel to riders giving them the sense of truly flying. Crayola Experience at Mall of America is a hands on attraction for young and old, featuring 25 activities, live entertainment, a café and The Crayola Store, with the world’s largest selection of Crayola products and unique souvenirs.

Experiential Tourism has been a focus in Bloomington and the entire metro area, with 30+ Signature Experiences for visitors to enjoy. A wide range of experiences include The Art of Delicious Dining – Mediterranean Style! with VOM FASS Mall of America to Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium – Behind the Scenes to The Fit Tourist Walking Tour of Minneapolis, just to name a few.
MOA introduced complimentary Wi-Fi and a mobile app in late 2015. It required 71 miles of wiring to install a Wi-Fi
infrastructure that could support the 40 million annual guests visiting Mall of America. The new Wi-Fi system will allow
easier access to digital tools and navigation of the property so more than 100,000 daily guests can connect and find exactly what they are looking for. MOA’s new mobile app complements the Wi-Fi system and provides many new benefits for guests such as wayfinding, purchasing attraction tickets, making restaurant reservations and much more.
Also, in late 2015, MOA introduced a paperless valet service. The new SMS text-based service is changing the way guests experience valet. First, guests check in on a cell phone as they drop off their vehicle at any of the designated locations at the Mall. A confirmation message is sent back with instructions on how to request the vehicle when the guest is ready to leave. The guest can reply to the text when they are ready for their vehicle, request to have it delivered to any of the valet locations, and then pay via phone prior to checking out.
