The Fourth of July is one celebration that New Englanders take very seriously- and it’s never just a day long.  Back by popular demand, the small ship cruise line launches yet another cruise over the 4th of July holiday. This year, the cruise will be departing round trip from Boston visiting the historic ports of Plymouth, Newburyport, Salem, Martha’s Vineyard and Provincetown.  This 8 day cruise will run from July 1 – July 8with the option of 1 day onboard early arrival in Boston.  The departure date is running a sale through end of February for 20% off, with savings up to $1,479 per cabin.

“We are excited to be departing out of Boston during one of the most celebrated times of the year and the ports we will be visiting in Massachusetts are full of history and colonial charm,” said President Nancy Blount. With the ability to explore ports at their own leisure, passengers will be able to enjoy the holiday celebrations both on and off the vessel with a Red, White and Blue themed party on the Grande Mariner’s top deck. For dining, a variety of New England seafood will be served from a traditional New England clam boil to lobster on the menu throughout the cruise. The 84-passenger vessel plans to be in Salem, MA for the 4th of July and weather permitting will be in position to view fireworks. Onboard historian John Quarstein will accompany passengers on this Massachusetts sampler itinerary to narrate the historical significance of each port.

In addition to this itinerary, Blount offers both 7 day and 4 day cruises throughout the New England Islands departing in June and July.  A shallow draft enables docking at remote ports where only private yachts dock. Access to unique ports gives passengers the chance to travel like explorers, immersing themselves in the local culture, for a truly authentic and casual experience that feels like travelling on a friend’s yacht.

Blount cruises include three meals daily with menus that are fresh, creative and often reflect the local cuisine, complimentary beer and wine with lunch and dinner, refreshments and snacks 24-hours a day, a BYOB policy, and organized optional excursions.
