Booking.Com Launches First Brand Campaign In Germany

July 19, 2014 OTA News No Comments Email Email, the world’s number one accommodation site, is ramping up momentum across Europe with the launch of its first ever offline brand campaign in Germany, a key strategic market, on July 14 2014.

The German-speaking advertisement, which will run across major German TV channels until mid-September follows successful campaigns in the UK, US and Canada earlier this year and put on the map for local customers.

With the knowledge that 80 percent of the hotel nights booked in Germany last year were booked by German travellers, and with the experience gleaned through over a billion guest nights booked worldwide, the site is ideally placed to understand what German bookers need to drive real preference for in the country.

Having listed its first German hotel on the platform 14 years ago, this launch follows’s healthy growth in the German market in recent years, where it has doubled the amount of local properties since the beginning of last year to 26,000. hopes to accelerate its growth in Germany both through its properties and by adding high quality jobs to the travel and service industry as an employer keen to expand. Since its first office opened over 10 years ago, now employs nearly 800 people across 4 major cities, including two Customer Service Centres in Berlin.
