Five thousand of the meeting industry’s harshest critics – readers of “ConventionSouth” – chose the Bourbon Orleans Hotel to receive its 2015 Readers Choice Award.
Following an increasing trend of travelers and meeting professionals towards selecting more authentic, deeply local and original meeting sites, the Bourbon Orleans Hotel of the New Orleans Hotel Collection has just been awarded a prestigious Readers Choice Award by the editors of ConventionSouth Magazine.
“ConventionSouth readers have voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, an iconic “Grande Dame” property of the French Quarter has been selected to receive the coveted Readers Choice Award,” said publisher J. Talty O’Connor.
The Bourbon Orleans Hotel, a member of the New Orleans Hotel Collection, is among 180 from a field of over 20,000 meeting facilities and hotels across the South to receive this year’s Readers’ Choice Award. This is the second time the iconic, “Treasure of the French Quarter” hotel has received the prestigious hospitality industry award.
Throughout the year, meeting professionals nominate sites that provide exemplary service and accommodations for their group events for the Readers’ Choice Award. Nominees cull thousands of votes in an online poll.
Convention South magazine is based in Gulf Shores, Ala., and distributed to more than 18,000 meeting professionals nationwide who book meetings in the Southern states.
The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is located in the heart of the historic French Quarter, just steps from Bourbon and Royal Streets, and Jackson Square. Guest rooms feature 42” flat-screen TVs, work desks, spacious bathrooms with granite countertops, complimentary local calls, free Wi-Fi and welcome drink. Saltwater pool, valet parking, fitness center, laundry service, in-room dining, 24-hour desk service, meeting rooms and banquet service, qualifying it as an excellent choice for business conventions or pleasure travel.
The Hotel will be featured in the December 2015 Awards issue of ConventionSouth.
