SVG Hotels that runs BEST WESTERN PREMIER La Marvella in Bengaluru South’s Jayanagar is doubling its room inventory, MICE and spa facility and has added a 36 room budget hotel in the vicinity.
Sukomal Sarkar, General Manager, BEST WESTERN PREMIER La Marvella, Jayanagar, said: “We are adding 55 rooms to the current inventory of 49 at La Marvella and have expanded other facilities like pool, spa, gym and added one more restaurant. Two banquet halls of 3500 & 2500 square feet will be added. New rooms will be bigger at minimum 400 square feet and will be ready by early next year. Our popular Golden Oak café will have live kitchen.”
The Five star boutique hotel is situated in upmarket residential area and enjoys 90 percent business clientele. Its five lavish suites that have executive lounge and modern bath tubs with Jacuzzi are popular with honeymooners. The hotel’s Golden Oak café serves tasty Indian, Asian and continental food and is very popular with local clientele for buffet breakfast and also for lunch and dinner. Cocoon, the purple hued disco bar is a favourite with the youth.
Saarangi, the newly renovated vegetarian restaurant on sixth floor is worth trying out for its extensive Indian vegetarian menu. The group runs a popular 200 cover vegetarian restaurant by the same name in the holy town of Tirumala.
Mr Sarkar said: “We have acquired 36-room Royal Comfort at five kms away and have launched it last month after renovation. It has English Channel restaurant and Upper crust multi-cuisine café along with Palladium, the rooftop banquet hall. It is available at an introductory price of INR 4000 for three months. Combined room and banquet space at our two hotels will be suitable for MICE and weddings.” La Marvella currently has Colosseum and Aurum banquet halls of 3700 and 2200 square feet area and another 6000 feet banquet area is being added.
The group is planning to add leisure hotels in Goa and in the coffee region of Coorg.
