Brand USA Adds Bbq Flavour To Visit USA B2B Sessions

Toast to work and play at Visit USA B2B SessionsDiversifying travel to the U.S. from the Australian market may be a long term goal for Brand USA, however the national marketing entity has had immediate success in diversifying the annual Visit USA Expos.

Partnering with the Visit USA Organisation, Brand USA launched the 2014 business networking activities on Sunday staging a full day of B2B networking sessions at Sydney’s Centennial Park.

More than 60 suppliers participated in the six-minute ‘speed dating’ style meetings with over 20 key local product buyers and marketers.

The emphasis was on mixing business with fun; business attire was swapped out for casual dress, and a BBQ and backyard games like Bocce, American football, Tug-of-War and a live Jazz band, were all part of the day.

“Brand USA is really excited to have been able to sponsor and stage the B2Bs in our first major venture with Visit USA. We appreciate that suppliers have travelled a long way to be part of the Expos,” said Joe Ponte, Brand USA Australia’s Strategic Director.

“We extended the duration and changed the format of Visit USA’s B2B meetings of previous years to really ensure that the visiting delegates made the most of their time in Australia and had fun in the process,” Ponte continued.

Brand USA will stage an Industry Update event today (Monday) prior to the official commencement of Visit USA’s Sydney Expo events.
