Brand USA and STA Travel – USA Road Trip of a Lifetime

STA Travel has joined forces with Brand USA for a joint initiative which forms part of a $4 million two-year campaign to promote the USA to the youth travel market.

The competition coincides with figures released today by STA Travel showing that the dropping Australian dollar isn’t putting Aussie travellers off heading to the States, with 37 per cent more trips booked to the USA from Australia in June 2013 compared to June 2012, according to STA Travel’s latest booking data.

“Through our partnership with Brand USA we really want to encourage Australians to visit and experience more of the States than the list of usual suspects,” said David Green, Managing director of STA Travel Australia.

“There’s so much to discover beyond iconic landmarks, like the Statue of Liberty, and our customers love uncovering secret hot-spots, regardless of how many hotdogs the Australian dollar can buy. These figures make our partnership with Brand USA, and the launch of the USA Destination Hub … a one-stop multimedia travel guide offering users the chance to win a USA Road Trip of a Lifetime, even more exciting,” he said.

The USA Road Trip of a Lifetime will see two people travel through America accompanied by their very own film crew. Viewers will be able to log-on to watch the competition winners as they visit some of the most iconic sites in the US. To win a place on the Road Trip of a Lifetime, STA Travel is inviting the public to upload their best insider tips, experiences, ideas and images of the USA before the 4th of September, 2013.
