Brand USA Announces Launch Event In Sydney

Brand USA Australia will stage its first ever industry event in Sydney on July 4 to reveal the abundance of marketing opportunities set to be delivered over the coming 12 months to the Australian travel trade and tourism industries.

The launch of Brand USA as America’s first cooperative destination marketing organisation in over 15 years represents a significant milestone for all those with a stake in travel and tourism in the USA. The July launch event will be the first EGT_Artical Banner A 250x250opportunity for key travel trade and media representatives to receive information about messaging strategies, activities and guidelines on the Brand USA trade funding model.

“Brand USA’s efforts in Australia and New Zealand will be focused on delivering programs and platforms that increase awareness and enhance the image of the United States among travellers from this market,” says Joe Ponte, Strategic Director for Brand USA in Australia and New Zealand.

The July launch event will be the first opportunity for the travel trade and media to receive information about the key strategies, activities and guidelines on how they can best work with Brand USA.

“The launch event will be an invaluable educational for the industry on Brand USA’s marketing–driven programs and how these will allow travel and tourism suppliers to amplify their reach internationally and drive visitation to the United States,” Ponte continues.

The event will also officially introduce the Brand USA Australia team which will be directed by Ponte. Ponte, former national Marketing Manager for Flight Centre, brings more than 15 years marketing management experience to the role and will lead trade and PR staff in Australia and New Zealand.

“Australian visitation to the US has been at record levels in recent years,” says Ponte. “Brand USA’s goal is to entice Australians and New Zealanders to experience the limitless possibilities that are on offer in the United States. America holds the potential to be in the consideration set for every type of holiday.

The Brand USA Australia trade launch will be held in Sydney on July 4 2013. A webinar will also be held the same day for industry representatives unable to attend the event in person.
