The Consulate-General of Brazil in Sydney and the Australia-Brazil Business Council (AUBRBC) are pleased to announce the second Brazil Showcase event, to be held this March at NSW Parliament House, Sydney. Drawing on the success of May 2015’s premier event, it aims to promote the relations between the largest economies of the southern hemisphere, celebrate achievements and support ongoing mutual interests.
The Brazil Showcase is designed to promote Brazil as a preferential partner for Australia in investment, trade, tourism, entrepreneurship, education, technology exchange and culture. This year, the Australian–Brazil Business Council (AUBRBC) will be part of the organization, celebrating its second year of operation.
Hosted by the Consul–General of Brazil in Sydney together with the Honourable Anthony Roberts MP, Minister for Planning, Minister for Housing, Special Minister of State and the Leader of the House, the event will provide a valuable and unique forum for relationship building between Australian and Brazilian businesspeople, including new market entrants.
“It will bring together Brazilian and Australian companies and entrepreneurs in order to share their experiences and conduct networking with the objective of doing business and promoting the sustainable development of both nations, two vibrant multicultural democracies. Brazil would like to become a preferential partner of Australia and, in particular, of the State of New South Wales”, said ConsulGeneral of Brazil, Carlos de Abreu.
Brazil aims to advance its business interests internationally and specifically with Australia, with the focus on sectors such as agribusiness, aircraft manufacturing, information technology, banking, educational services, machinery and equipment, hygiene and cosmetics, health and fashion, among others. Investment opportunities have gained significant momentum in recent years, with Brazil and Australia recognizing the untapped potential of their economic and trade relations.
Past events have highlighted the fact that geographic distance is no barrier, but rather the lack of deeper mutual knowledge and more networking venues. Following the success of last year’s business events, the 2017 Brazil Showcase is expected to continue facilitating the establishment of strong partnerships and fostering business prospects.
The second Brazil Showcase will take place on Wednesday 29 March 2017 from 6:00 pm at the Strangers Room in NSW Parliament House. Please register early, as spaces are limited. More than 20 Brazilian companies have already confirmed their participation.
