Spread the love

With a slew of spectacular meeting and event spaces, diverse dining options, burgeoning bars, upscale shopping, entertainment and luxury interiors –  business is brilliant for MICE travellers staying at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, located within The Fullerton Heritage precinct in the heart of the Lion City.

The Destination

Both The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore anchor the historic and cultural Fullerton Heritage precinct situated in Marina Bay, where Singapore’s past, present and future converge. Located in the heart of Singapore’s city centre, the precinct is located in close proximity to the two Central Business Districts in Singapore; National Gallery of Singapore; Art Science Museum; Singapore Cruise Centre and a half-hour drive to the new Jewel Changi Airport.

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is also considered the centre of Singapore, with a newly installed brass plaque to mark the original position of Mile Zero – where all distances were first measured before the implementation of postal codes.

The MICE Effect

According to a recent report on the global MICE market, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to witness the highest growth rate (8.6%) in the next five years. Rapid growth in the business travel sector in recent decades has positioned Asia-Pacific as the fastest growing market in the world, with Singapore particularly in demand. The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts is well placed to be a key driver to fuel the MICE market with its unique set of offerings.

Double the Facilities

MICE guests can enjoy the flexibility of access and high-end facilities available at both The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore – both located within walking distance from each other. This includes The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s rooftop pool with panoramic skyline views as well as renowned restaurants, bars, fitness centres, The Fullerton Spa and more located in either hotel. Both hotels offer MICE visitors complimentary heritage tours to discover Singapore’s heritage, as well as “Fullerton Experiences,” a dedicated programme of activities that includes vintage Vespa sidecar tours, a selection of culinary workshops with Fullerton chefs, and more.

The Fullerton Experience

Experts in hosting events, The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts has managed major conferences (Bloomberg New Economy Forum Welcome Dinner 2018; YPO Global Leadership Conference (GLC) 2018; Nikkei Annual Conference 2018 and 2019) and high-profile events (Fullerton Concours d’Elegance 2018), providing extensive options for both intimate and large-scale functions. With a suite of on-site facilities and experienced event specialists on hand, MICE managers can rest assured that everything will run smoothly.

Reducing one’s carbon footprint has never been easier for MICE guests, who can opt to “go green” in meetings with a choice of vegan plant-based menus. As part of an overall sustainability programme, both hotels have also replaced plastic bags with non-woven carrier bags; implemented bamboo fibre napkins and eco-friendly pens to create a greener meeting space.

The Fullerton Hotel Singapore

The Fullerton Building has long been the centre of communications, having housed the city’s first General Post Office. Now, the building is home to The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, a prestigious heritage hotel with a diverse range of meeting venues, event spaces and facilities, including seven function rooms.

Be it intimate gatherings or large-scale events, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore’s impeccable service is key to its long-term corporate event success. The property caters to a wide spectrum of events, from meetings and launches, to evening cocktails and grand showcases.

Venues range from the Music Room, which is ideal for fewer than 22 people, to the beautiful and pillarless Ballroom, which accommodates up to 600 guests. The Ballroom features drop chandeliers adorned with more than 386,000 crystals, state-of-the-art surround sound system, karaoke equipment and theatre projectors, providing guests with an unparalleled experience for meetings, milestone celebrations and official events.

MICE guests can explore hawker heritage for lunch in Town or enjoy breakout sessions in Post Bar, under the original ceiling of the GPO building. Post all things business, unwind with drinks at The Lighthouse Rooftop Bar which offers a splendid panoramic view of the Marina Bay.

Located in the lobby of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the Financial Centre is open 24 hours, and provides a full suite of business and secretarial services, including a handy charging station.

The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

From unique conference facilities to personalised, professional service and premium culinary experiences, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is a top destination in Southeast Asia for corporate events. This glamorous 100-room waterfront property was recently awarded Singapore’s #1 Hotel by TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2019.

From product launches to intimate gatherings, to one-of-a-kind events in floating pods entirely built on water, there’s a venue for every type of get-together. The floating event pods provide exclusive spaces over the water in a nod to Singapore’s maritime heritage. Reminiscent of trading boats docked in a modern-day setting, each pod enjoys spectacular Marina Bay views and is equipped with an adjoining balcony and rooftop. The picture-perfect pods can be used for banquets or board meetings for up to 20 guests, cocktail-style receptions for up to 40 guests, or as a classroom for approximately 15 people.

Let the colonial arches and impressively high ceilings of The Clifford Pier set the tone for a much-needed cocktail reception or dinner following a hard day’s work. Steeped in history and dating back to 1933, Clifford Pier is the first port of call for many Singaporeans’ forefathers, and has come to symbolise Singapore in the same way Ellis Island in New York has. Outside, the alfresco seating area allows guests to enjoy a magnificent view of Marina Bay and Singapore’s famous skyline.
