There’s just two weeks to go until some of the world’s best rugby teams land in Brisbane for a blockbuster weekend of world class rugby at the inaugural Brisbane Global Rugby Tens over February 11 and 12, and the two-day tournament is giving Brisbane a reason to celebrate.

Pony Dining has launched a Brisbane Global Rugby Tens special – the Heineken two-course lunch includes your choice of starter and main OR main and dessert, paired with either a Heineken 3 or glass of wine for $38.
Bavarian Bier Café will go all out, with staff embracing the rugby spirit and dressing in rugby uniforms and colours – we’re talking the real deal with headgear, sweat bands, and mouth guards! The tournament will be streamed live on all TV’s throughout the venue, PLUS there’s free face painting for the kids (and you can get your team’s colours painted on your face)! Rugby fans will also be treated to an exclusive deal – 1L stein of craft or German beer plus a delicious Haus schnitzel for $35!
The Red Hook team on Creek Street will don QLD Reds jerseys in support of none other than the Reds. They’re offering American sports style specials including foot-long dogs and combo meal deals.
Breakfast Creek Hotel have decked their front bar in all things rugby and are encouraging staff to dress up. The tournament will be televised live in the Beer Garden with themed food offerings across the weekend.
Fratelli Famous will celebrate the Global Rugby Tens with fans, offering $20 Large Pizza and Draft Beer for those who show up for a feed in their team’s jersey ($10 for kids). PLUS, if you’re one to don your rugby attire and are lucky enough to be the 10th in line on either Saturday 11 or Sunday 12, then you’ll score yourself 10 FREE pizzas to redeem within 10 weeks – you might want to join the rugby ranks to burn off all those carbs!
Hotel LA is situated metres from the stadium and is also home of Kiwi teams and the Brisbane All Blacks. They’re celebrating with a Kiwi menu and inspired beverages.
McGuire’s Paddington Tavern are hosting a family fun day with a pass-the-ball competition, a past players meet and greet and a tournament after party.
Park Road will turn into a family-friendly rugby hub with music and street activations. There’ll be eight restaurants celebrating rugby fever with themed offerings and exclusive meal deals.
Regatta Hotel is hosting an official Brisbane Global Rugby Tens Luncheon in the Boatshed restaurant for $130 – this includes a three-course meal, three-hour beverage package and the opportunity to meet representatives from the teams participating in the tournament. The Plough Inn, being South Bank’s traditional pub will not only have Global Tens themed dishes and meal deal offerings, but will also theme the entire pub with rugby colours and paraphernalia.
