Budapest Airport celebrates new connections to trio of capital cities

Belavia-Belarusian Airlines arrives at Budapest AirportBudapest Airport yesterday celebrated the launch of a new service that links the Eastern European cities of Minsk in Belarus, Belgrade in Serbia and Budapest, Hungary.

Republic of Belarus carrier Belavia-Belarusian Airlines commenced twice weekly scheduled flights yesterday, 19th September, in what will be a year round service that connects the three European capital cities for the first time. The flights from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and Minsk National Airport will be operated by Bombardier CRJ 200LR on Mondays and Thursdays. Attending the launch ceremony were dignitaries, Mr. Khainouski Aliaksandr, Belarussian Ambassador to Hungary and Rade Drobac Serbian Ambassador to Hungary along with Kam Jandu Chief Commercial Officer of Budapest Airport and Igor Tcherginets Deputy Director General Marketing and International from Belavia-Belarusian Airlines.

I’m sure that this flight will attract interest from Belarusian, Serbian and Hungarian tourist agencies. The new route will definitely increase the number of transit passengers travelling via Minsk.”
