Buffalo Tours appoints General Manager in Australia and Country Manager in Japan

Buffalo Tours, a leading destination management company in Asia, has appointed Greg Martin as the Sales Office General Manager in Australia and Atsushi Hirayama as the Country Manager in Japan. These new appointments support the growth of Buffalo Tours in line with new wholesale partnerships including Scenic Tours, Wendy Wu Tours and more recently Topdeck which celebrated its Asia launch in April.

Greg Martin brings over 25 years of Australian wholesale travel experience to Buffalo Tours.  Based in Sydney, Greg will head up the sales office which supports existing and new trade partners.

Atsushi Hirayama, also has 25 years of experience in travel industry, working for inbound operators in Australia and his native Japan. Atsushi is passionate about high quality operations and customer service. He will manage the Buffalo Tours team in Tokyo servicing Buffalo Tours sales offices and travel agents around the world, as well as handling travellers on the ground in Japan.

Atsushi comments “It is with great enthusiasm that I lead the Buffalo Tours Japan team. Japan is now opening up to the world more than ever and will remain a hot destination for both leisure and MICE segments.  My objective is to use our destination expertise to create quality operations and experiences. We will focus on connecting our customers to truly authentic Japanese culture and people.”

According to Greg Martin, “I was attracted to work for Buffalo Tours because of their strong focus on responsible tourism and unique product development. The Local Life product range has been a hit with our trade partners and we are looking forward to the July release of our Master Class range of experiences”.

Buffalo Tours has experienced more than 100% growth in 2015 as the company expanded into six new destinations. This growth supports Buffalo Tours’ plan to become the strongest DMC in Asia while offering original experiences and staying true to its vision to “Change Lives Through Travel”.
