Queenslanders travelling locally made up 18 per cent of bookings, with the highest number of bookings coming from NSW at 33 per cent, followed by Victoria at 27 per cent.

This follows a similarly strong Christmas and New Year period, which saw apartment bookings for the independently managed operator also at 100 per cent capacity as Australians took advantage of the great savings and family-friendly recreation facilities on offer.

With over 150 privately owned luxury properties, lower overheads and high quality locations, Holiday Holiday is able to pass significant savings on to its guests and in particular, provide excellent value for families managing the crucial family budget who seek quality accommodation at a reasonable price point.

Holiday Holiday director Lee Lee Goh is thrilled that the boutique luxury service is achieving such high occupancy at key holiday times during the year and is confident it will continue.

“Families are finding accommodation options very economical due to our unique structure of independent apartment ownership and fantastic property locations,” she said.

“We have recently added a personalised grocery shopping service for our guests which is proving very popular and provides a higher level of the personal service we are very proud of,” Ms Goh said.

Standard Holiday Holiday services include guests being able to select their own apartment when booking online and self-service check-in kiosks, enabling visitors to escape reception queues on arrival, which is a popular option for travelling families.

With the option to stay in some of the Gold Coast’s most popular hotels and resorts such as Chevron Renaissance and Soul Surfers Paradise for approximately half the price in many cases, Ms Goh said many families were gravitating to ‘holiday in your own backyard’ options for their family holidays.

“We also find that the combination of personalised service, the ability to choose the most comfortable accommodation to suit them and the reduced prices mean families are able to stay considerably longer to make the most of their Gold Coast holiday and everything our great region has to offer,” she said.

“Most of our apartments are spacious and self-contained, which is ideal for families and for long-stay holiday makers who want to relax in a luxury setting, with fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities and state-of-the-art entertaining areas.

“Given the strength of our Easter bookings we are predicting extremely busy Spring and Summer holiday booking activity also.

“The combination of luxury accommodation in the heart of Surfers Paradise, being close to beaches, entertainment and theme parks gives families, who are our biggest market, great value and lots of options.”
