BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana is located in the bustily and historical district of Bur Dubai offering guests 148 suites throughout the deluxe apartment hotel. In its recent initial launch of the training program, the property has seen 31 colleagues from different departments across the hotel participating in the training. Apil Suicco, Cluster Learning and Development Officer, stated that this is just the first of many sessions in ensuring each colleague throughout the hotel has proper skills and training.

BAD Special Needs Training

Throughout the training, the course covered certain topics to help broaden colleague’s awareness on different disabilities and help them learn skills on how to help those coming into the hotel. The course outlined guidelines on room features and design, emergency procedures and what etiquette to follow when interacting with guests. Colleagues even had a brief introduction to sign language.

“With the travel industry opening its doors to more and more people, our hotel has always been favoured by families, therefore it is essential that we as a hotel also enhance our skills in order to welcome more and more guests with diverse and different backgrounds and needs,” explained General Manager, Ms. Ulrike Andorff.
