BOF now has released the second line-up of Korea’s leading Hallyu stars, heightening anticipation for the mega Hallyu (Korean Wave) event.
BOF is a festival that combines Busan’s culture and tourism infrastructure with Hallyu content and Asian culture. It will give youth from around the world the opportunity to experience Korean culture, encompassing music (K-pop), food (K-food) and cosmetics (K-beauty), at one place. BOF, which will be held from October 1 to October 23 across Busan, including the Busan Asiad Main Stadium and BEXCO, is expected to emerge as one of Asia’s leading festivals.
The stellar second line-up consists of PSY, SE7EN, INFINITE, Block B, BTS, AOA, TWICE, U-KISS and Hwang Chi-yeul. They will join the already-released first line-up featuring CNBLUE, Apink, Girl’s Day, B1A4 and B.A.P., heating up autumn nights in Busan.
With his eye-catching dance routines and highly addictive lyrics, PSY enjoys popularity around the world, including Greater China, Southeast Asia, the Americas and Europe. SE7EN has recently released a single, “Rainbow,” in Japan, which topped the weekly K-Pop chart in Japan, helping strengthen his position as the nation’s leading Hallyu singer.
On stage with them will be INFINITE, who captures the heart of female fans around the world with perfectly synchronized choreography; Block B, a hip-hop idol group with songs topping various charts; BTS, who is enjoying explosive popularity with their energetic performance on stage; U-KISS, who has released albums constantly since their debut in 2008; and Hwang Chi-yeul, a rising star who is enjoying immense popularity in Greater China.
In addition, joining these male stars will be popular girl groups: AOA who makes frequent appearances on TV featured on music and entertainment shows and commercials; and TWICE who is in their prime with hit songs “Like OOH-AHH” and “’CHEER UP.”
BOF will hold “One Asia Opening Performance” to show the history of K-pop at a glance, “K-Pop Concert – Three Stages” to provide three different colors of performance for three days, and “One Asia Dream Concert” that will be performed by all of the big, rising stars at the closing ceremony. Excitement has already begun to build around the upcoming performance events featuring major Hallyu stars.
“We are preparing to take BOF to the highest level, including performances, exhibits and star line-ups,” said a BOF official. “We will have everything ready to surprise audiences with stunning performances delivered by Korea’s top Hallyu artists.”
