From the moment one steps onto either the Airport Express (AREX) or regular train service from Incheon International Airport, the reality of Korea’s modern, efficient subway system quickly becomes apparent. Signage and recorded announcements are helpfully offered in Korean and English, as well as Chinese and Japanese on most routes. The spacious carriage interiors allow for easy passage, while station platform flooring is fitted with useful yellow lines leading to the exits.
