To bring the diners’ experience to the next level, Café Kool will highlight a total of 14 signature dishes made with chefs’ secret recipes at all of its six dynamic open kitchens from 10 August 2015 (descriptions attached). In addition, Café Kool will introduce a new range of salads, seafood on ice, Asian and Western delicacies and desserts to pamper discerning palates.
“Good news does not stop here. To further enhance the diners’ experience, each buffet lunch and dinner guest will walk home with a Café Kool tin filled with one’s own choice of sweets”, said Mr Ulrich Jablonka, director of food and beverage.
Since its opening in 2003, Café Kool has served more than 3.5 million guests, equivalent to almost half of Hong Kong’s population; 754,000 pieces of lobsters, 215,000 kilograms of lamb; 72,000 bottles of beer; and 36,800 packages of coffee beans. It boasts of other interesting, staggering numbers.
“The total amount of rice we have served equals the weight of a fully occupied Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet (before take-off), while the amount of beef served weighs more than 450 cows. We are dedicated to using the freshest local and exotic ingredients, and offering our guests unbeatable dining experiences, so we are upping the notch in the buffet scene here in Hong Kong”, Mr Jablonka said.
Situated on the mezzanine level of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, Café Kool has a warm and upbeat ambience and offers a buffet of authentic global dishes prepared live in six open kitchens by an experienced team of culinary artists. An extensive all-day dining à la carte menu is also available.
