The WITovation Awards, which recognise excellence in digital marketing and user experience in travel, returns with the WIT Conference (Singapore, Oct 19-21).
Entries are being sought in four categories – Social Butterfly, Absolute Mobile, Data Specialist and Content Magician.
Into its fourth edition, WITovation Awards 2015, powered by Sojern, is aimed at putting the spotlight on four key areas of influence and change in the digital marketing space.
A judging panel comprising advertising, marketing, content and travel experts has been assembled to judge the entries. They include, as of now, Rohit Dadwal, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Mobile Marketing Association; Calvin Soh, Ninety Nine Percent; Ross Veitch, CEO & Co-founder, Wego; Timothy Hughes, Vice President Marketing, Agoda; Luke Clark, Editor, Novus Asia; Stephen Taylor, MD-International, Sojern and Jason Chan of Bananamana Films.
“As the market gets more competitive and the noise gets louder, it is important travel marketers step up their marketing game to be heard by consumers,” said Yeoh Siew Hoon, founder, WIT. “User experience has become even more critical when you’re limited to the size of a smartphone screen.
“We look forward to honouring the winners of this year’s awards.”
First launched in 2011, the WITovation Awards have recognised past winners such as Cleartrip, Skyscanner, Accor Hotels, AirAsia, TripAdvisor, Ibis Bencoolen, Agora Hospitalities, W Singapore and House of Travel, New Zealand.
Frank Bateman of AirAsia, which won Customer Love at the inaugural 2011 WITovation Awards, accepting the prize from T2Impact’s Timothy O’Neil-Dunne who led the judging panel in that category.
