Canada And Haiti Discuss With Seychelles About Possible Future Cooperation In The Field Of Cultural Events
Points tabled for discussion were the Festival du Cinema “Vues D’Afrique” and the Expositions of Visual Arts. Minister St.Ange thanked both Mr Le Chene and madame Dutelly for making time to be in Seychelles for this year’s Festival Kreol and said that he needed their commitment in the new call by the President of the Seychelles to make the Festival Kreol of Seychelles the biggest Cultural Manifestation staged by Seychelles. Minister St.Ange also appealed to Mr Le Chene and madame Dutelly to assist the island with its announcement made to have a day dedicated to slavery when Seychelles celebrates Africa Day (FetAfrik) annually. “Through music, through the dance and through expositions of historical documents, photos or paintings we can be reminded of the macabre part of our history as it is always important for us to know where we come from to better appreciate where we are today” Minister St.Ange said to Mr Le Chene and Madame Dutelly.
The call for cooperation has been well received was the comment aired after the meeting that was held at ESPACE Building at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Offices.
