egtmedia59WestJet said Friday that it will expand service between the western Canada city of Vancouver and Hawaii in December with daily flights to Kauai and to Kailua-Kona on the Big Island.

WestJet will expand its service between Vancouver and Kona International Airport from four times per week to daily flights starting Dec. 12, the Calgary-based airline said.

The airline’s service to Lihue Airport on Kauai will increase from three times a week to daily flights starting Dec. 14, WestJet said.

“WestJet is the airline of choice for Canadians who love the Hawaiian Islands,” Chris Avery, WestJet vice president of network planning, alliances and corporate development, said in a statement. “With seamless connections from many cities across Canada and no need to pick up your bag before you pre-clear U.S. customs in Vancouver, it’s never been easier to take that fabulous Hawaiian Vacation you’ve been waiting for.”

WestJet also offers two daily flights from Vancouver to both Honolulu International Airport and Kahului Airport on Maui.
