It offers visitor’s an unprecedented opportunity to see and experience the real beating heart of Cape Town. Awarded to an African city for the first time, it’s a fitting reflection of how design has become a powerful way to making cities more competitive, livable and desirable places to visit and explore. The official program encompasses a year-long program of signature WDC2014 events including a Design House Exhibition in November 2014, a seven-day event that will see international exhibitors showcasing the best designs from their own cities as well as number of new design tours running throughout 2014, highlights include:

“Urban Design and Livability Walking Tours” offered by Future Cape Town

“Insider Walking Tours” developed for visitors by one Cape Town’s trend-setting tour companies, Coffeebeans Routes.
