Capella Washington, D.C., Georgetown is pleased to announce its next “Style Series” partner, MAISON DE MODE.
Created by Hassan Pierre and curated by Amanda Hearst, MAISON DE MODE is a traveling luxury pop-up shop featuring ethical fashion finds from top designers. The event will take place in the hotel’s Presidential Suite from May 1st to May 4th, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Unique and innovative ready-to-wear, fine jewelry and accessories are just some the pieces you may expect to discover.  Prior, Capella D.C. partnered and hosted their “Style Series” with Saks Fifth Avenue and Elie Tahari.  For more information on MAISON DE MODE visit

This next one-stop-shop installment with MAISON DE MODE will feature the following brands:

  • READY-TO-WEAR: Osklen, Maiyet, Way It Should Be, M. Patmos, Organic By John Patrick, Chinti + Parker, Amour Vert, Laveer, Basic New York, Edith A. Miller and Alas
  • ACCESSORIES: Edie Parker, Maiyet, Freedom Of Animals, Anndra Neen, Natalie Frigo, Lulu Frost, Morgenthal Frederics, Westward, Leaning and Masterpiece
The “Style Series” was created by Capella Washington, D.C., Georgetown to provide guests and local-alike access to one-of-a-kind fashion brands and designers and also offering fashion advice and expertise from the hotel’s Resident Stylist, April Yvonne.

In the past, MAISON DE MODE has held pop-ups at The Soho Beach House Miami Beach in conjunction with Art Basel Miami, The Frieze Art Fair in New York and The Shops at The Crystals Las Vegas. MAISON DE MODE continues to change the perception of ethical fashion by opening finely curated boutiques during highly recognized cultural events such as film festivals, fashion, design & art fairs.

Amanda Hearst, curator of MAISON DE MODE is also special projects editor of Town & Country magazine and Marie Claire’sassociate market editor.  An avid fan of ethical fashion and an activist in her own right, Hearst is also the founder of FRIENDS OF FINN, an organization dedicated to stopping the inhumane treatment of dogs in puppy mills.

Hassan Pierre, founder and creator of MAISON DE MODE is also creative director of WAY IT SHOULD BE; the leading women’s ready-to-wear brand using only the finest organic and sustainable materials; has appeared in the pages of Marie Claireand VOGUE as well as countless other high-fashion magazines.  The line specializes in demi-couture collections with private clients in New York, Palm Beach, London and Saudi Arabia.

April Yvonne, Resident Stylist is the driving force behind each intimate fashion Style Series at Capella with the objective of introducing guests to D.C.’s thriving fashion scene and providing access to some of the capital city’s top labels, designers and boutiques like Elie Tahari. Yvonne who is also’s founder, curates after-hours private shopping experiences for guests and through her network of connections is also able to arrange for guests to have private fittings on property.
