TID (Travel Insurance Direct) has today announced a partnership with Melbourne based filmmaker, Eddie Hobson, who has created the video and photography project, Capture The World.
Capture The World’s goal is to create 60 short films using timelapse, hyperlapse, slow motion and 24 frames per second that will culminate into a feature film in 2016. The subjects of each film are the extraordinary architectural features of ancient and modern cities and the rich beauty and history of some of the world’s most remarkable locations.
Through TID’s partnership with Capture The World, 30 unique videos will be created exclusively for the ‘TID Explores’ series which provides travellers with a unique look at some of the world’s leading cities, along with a first-hand guide to the best things to see and do at these destinations. So far in the series, TID explores Dubrovnik, Northern Norway, New Zealand, Las Vegas, Copenhagen and London.
“My passion lies in photography and travel. With the amazing support of TID, I’m able to explore and share the rich beauty and vast wonders of the world,” said Eddie Hobson, Capture The World founder. “TID has helped me to do what I love and create short films of some truly breathtaking destinations.”
“The TID team is very excited to be supporting Eddie in his travels,” said Diana Watts, General Manager, TID. “His series covers some of the most popular destinations visited by TID travelers. We hope Eddie’s work will inspire other Australians to get out there and explore the world.”
The next episodes of TID Explores see Eddie visit Singapore and Cambodia, followed by Budapest, Prague and Germany in July. Footage featuring Phuket, Hong Kong, Belgium, Ireland and Chiang Mai will be added in the coming year.
