Figures from the Caravan Industry Association of Australia show Queenslanders are just as passionate about caravanning as they are the State of Origin, with the state recording the largest growth in domestic tourism in 2018 for caravan and camping related travel.

Taking advantage of the state’s love for the great outdoors, more than 250 exhibitors with 1,000 recreational vehicles will set up camp at the Showgrounds for the next six days (June 5-10), selling their latest and greatest products.

Some exhibitors will even launch never-before-seen models, accessories and technology at the 51st Supershow, giving Queensland travellers a first look at the latest industry products.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow was one of the largest events held at the Showgrounds each year.

“The Supershow is the second largest event we host, behind the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) which is the biggest event in Queensland,” he said.

“We’re proud the popular event, run by Caravanning Queensland, has been rolling into our venue for the past 41 years.”

The Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow gets underway at 9.30am.

The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct is located just 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD and is

Queensland’s largest indoor / outdoor events site.
