Carbone Hong Kong Brings Dynamic Spring Dishes To The Menu

image004Since opening last summer, New York-Italian hotspot Carbone has taken Hong Kong by storm, seducing Central’s dining scene with a menu of delicious and exceptionally well-prepared New York-Italian food, served in a setting that is simultaneously elegant and comfortable. 

Hot on the footsteps of its Michelin-starred sister restaurant in New York, Carbone has brought the magic back into the dining room, with charismatic Captains and entertaining tableside service. This spring, Carbone unveils some show-stopping new additions to their popular menu and introduces Sunday dinner service, starring their signature spin on classic New York-Italian dishes to ravish.

 Carbone pays homage to mid-20th century New York with its nostalgic menu of generously portioned New York-Italian cuisine and personalized service. Already famous for its classic fare, Carbone’s contemporary take on timeless macaroni dishes such as Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (HKD198), has earned it a reputation for being the place for power lunches and lavish dinner parties. New to the menu this spring are Fusilli Norma (HKD188), an indulgent plate of tomato, eggplant, ricotta salata and the vegetarian Lasagna Verde (please inquire for price), with mozzarella, tomato and broccoli. Simple, flavourful and made from the finest ingredients, these dishes are much sought after and have garnered global attention.

 New lunch-only Secondi dishes include Chicken Parmesan (HKD288), pounded chicken, tomato and buffalo mozzarella and the Grilled Petite Filet (HKD348), a 6oz Prime beef tenderloin, perfect for entertaining clients and sealing business deals.

 Along with renowned plates, such as Ribeye Diana (HKD558) and the mighty Prime Porterhouse (market price), diners can now indulge in the Chicken Massimo(HKD268), succulent balsamic glazed chicken with artichoke and parmesan, as well as the flavourful Veal Marsala (HKD648), grilled veal chop with Marsala sauce and roasted mushrooms.

As ever, Carbone reigns on the Hong Kong dining scene as the place to see and be seen. Whilst the Carbone crowd keeps coming back for favourites like theVeal Parmesan (HKD548), guests can now enjoy Garoupa Oreganata (HKD298), a wholesome serving of fresh, local garoupa with assorted beans, oreganata and fine herbs.

The indulgent dessert cart is definitely a highlight of the meal – think lavish and creamy Tiramisu (HKD108), Lemon Cheesecake (HKD108) and the newChocolate Blackout Cake (HKD108) to sweeten up the soiree. Guests can choose from a vast selection of fine wines and inventive cocktails against a setting of old school opulence. Set to the sounds of Frank Sinatra, and lit by vintage stained glass lighting from Tiffany’s lamps, a meal at Carbone is always lively; the ultimate in casual fine dining to set off the spring season.

For specials occasions or celebrations, the elegant private dining room at Carbone seats up to 40 people, and is perfect for those seeking discreet evening with friends, family or colleagues.
