Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the ten largest hotel groups worldwide, announced today the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Bahrain, the second Carlson Rezidor hotel in the Kingdom.

The mid-market property features 207 rooms and is scheduled to open in fourth quarter 2015. The successful Radisson Blu Diplomat Hotel, Residence & Spa, Manama, opened in 2000.

“We are delighted to strengthen our presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to further extend our Park Inn by Radisson network in the Gulf’s primary and secondary markets”, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, president and chief executive officer of Rezidor.

Park Inn by Radisson is Carlson Rezidor’s core brand in the mid-market segment – offering contemporary and comfortable accommodation to the modern traveller, and increasingly targeting the growing guest clientele of Gen X and Gen Y.

The government of Bahrain is currently taking steps to diversify its economy and has established the country as a regional hub for the rapidly growing Islamic finance industry. The 207-room Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Bahrain will be well located in Manama’s Al Seef District and feature waterfront views. It will be 6.2 miles from the airport and only 3.7 miles from the Diplomatic Quarter, which houses the Radisson Blu hotel. The new hotel will offer a 2,314-square-foot all-day dining restaurant with terrace and a 4,521-square-foot outdoor roof bar, as well as a gym and 3,875-square-foot pool. The hotel’s meetings and events facilities spread over 5,490 square feet.
