Carlson Rezidor, one of the world’s ten largest hotel groups, has opened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera.

The brand new First Class property featuring 130 rooms is Carlson Rezidor’s 4th property in town, and brings modern style and comfort to the ancient Pera Taksim district, a hub for shopping, arts, culture, dining and nightlife. All across its key focus market Turkey Carlson Rezidor now operates 7 hotels with 1,500+ rooms.

Surrounded by parks and romantic promenades, it is ideally placed for access to many of Istanbul’s top historic and cultural attractions, for the business district and congress centre and for popular restaurants and cafés. Istanbul’s big shopping malls Cevahir, Metro City, Kanyon, and Istinye Park are also nearby. Sirkeci Train Station is just 3.5 km from the hotel front door and Ataturk Airport (IST) is a mere 25 min. taxi ride away.

A stylish retreat from the lively city, the hotel’s rooms and suites are decorated in a Bohemian, old Istanbul style – with every conceivable modern convenience, including free high-speed Internet access and complimentary access to the Botanica Spa, Wellness & Beauty Centre. Exclusive indulgences include rejuvenating body treatments, a cardio-gym, facials, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, massage, sauna, a steam bath – and, of course, an authentic Turkish hammam.

Turkey is renowned for its world class cuisine, and guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera enjoy gourmet dining in the à la carte Terrace Restaurant with its magnificent views of the Golden Horn and the city. The hotel’s reception area is home to the conveniently located Lobby Lounge and the All Day Dining Restaurant featuring an open kitchen and appealing range of international specialties.

For business travellers the Radisson Blu Hotel, Istanbul Pera offers 7 flexible meeting rooms, ideal for any business or personal event with up to 130 guests. Special high tech features include free high-speed Internet, satellite TV conferencing, a simultaneous translation system, and video and teleconferencing.

Set on seven historic hills where Asia meets Europe, Istanbul is an unforgettable fairy tale. Stately palaces, mosques and cathedrals happily co-exist beside chaotic bazaars and steaming hammams, while Ottoman Constantinople sits easily with ancient Byzantium. It’s a magic mix that works deliciously together, topped off with the new and contemporary Istanbul.

Istanbul was the European Capital of Culture in 2010: Its rich wealth of important historic buildings, including the beautiful Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and Hagia Sophia – along with the stunning museums, galleries and amazing shopping opportunities, keep visitors on the go all day – until the ultra-stylish nightlife action kicks in.
