Cathay Pacific People Moves

Cathay Pacific is pleased to announce the promotion of Richiko Olrichs as the airline’s new Direct Sales Manager for Australia.

This newly created role brings the management of the Sydney-headquartered customer sales office and the airline’s online sales team into a single department.

Richiko has been with the airline for over seven years. She joined Cathay Pacific in Amsterdam before moving to Australia and until recently has been Marketing Communications Manager for Australia. Fluent in four languages, Richiko studied in the Netherlands as well as Beijing and Sydney Universities.

Franziska McCarthy has joined Cathay Pacific Australia as Marketing Communications Manager and is managing the team responsible for all Australian marketing activities including consumer and trade campaigns, advertising, social media, PR, sponsorship and the airline’s two loyalty programs, Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club.

Prior to joining Cathay Pacific, Franziska worked at Garuda Indonesia which she joined after four years with the airline’s PR agency where she managed a number of travel businesses including Lufthansa, Hertz and Roomorama. Originally from Germany, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Erfurt as well as a Master of Arts in International Communications from Macquarie University.
