“CATO’s Crisis Management Forum hailed a huge success”

Over 75 industry delegates attended the first of CATO’s planned educational forums at the Ariel UTS Function Centre yesterday in Sydney. Simon Kennedy, a regular host of the  Studio 10 on Network 10 and seen often on the Channel 7 morning show, The Project on Channel 10 and Channel 9 morning show was brought on as Master of Ceremonies for the forum.


Guest speakers covered a broad range of crisis and risk management topics commencing with DFAT, Sydney Airport and Qantas , Covermore travel insurance and PATA in the morning sessions. In the afternoon all attendees were presented with a template created by Dr David Bierman from UTS in conjunction with CATO, allowing members to develop their own crisis management plans.

This was then followed with a presentation from Intelligent Travel and the day concluded with a panel discussion comprising of Scenic Tours,  Wildlife Safari and Bunnik Tours who each discussed their personal business experiences in handling crisis situations.

“We were delighted with outcome of our first full day forum in Sydney and we will be announcing shortly further educational seminars to cover various topics of interest to our members” advised Dennis Bunnik, Chairman, CATO.
