Cebu Pacific Air Welcomes New Routes and Service Operations

The Philippines is now even more accessible to Australian travellers thanks to Cebu Pacific Air, which operates a non-stop direct flight from Sydney to its Manila hub, connecting holidaymakers to onward acclaimed destinations. remit has been further increased due to the Low-Cost Carrier launching new routes and operating from Puerto Princesa International Airport’s new terminal.

Cebu Pacific has expanded its network through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cebgo. From Manila, which is just an eight hour flight from Sydney, travellers can connect to Cebu’s Clark hub, which also connects travellers to Boracy and Busuanga.

The airline will operate daily services between Clark and Caticlan, Boracay and three weekly services between Clark and Busuanga. Cebgo has also launched two additional direct services between Cebu and Busuanga and Cebu and Cotabato.

Further to this, Cebu Pacific has started flying in and out of the new terminal of Puerto Princesa International Airport, operating the most number of flights to and from the capital of Palawan. In 2016, the carrier flew the most number of passengers to and from Puerto Princesa, garnering over 50 per cent of the total market share. Cebu Pacific Air will also be increasing the capacity of its flights to and from Puerto Princesa, upgrading from the 180-seater Airbus A320 to the Airbus A321 neos with a 230 seating capacity.

The launch of the new routes and operations is a major benefit to Cebu Pacific Air to continue to be the key player to link more and more islands in the archipelago. This includes the likes of Palawan, which is not only home to pristine white-sand beaches, but also to other renowned destinations, such as the Puerto Princesa Underground River. It is no wonder that it has been listed as one of the world’s best islands by Conde Nast travel magazine.

Speaking on Cebu Pacific Air’s route expansions and its operations from the new terminal, Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Distribution of Cebu Pacific said, “We’re thrilled to launch four new services and open more operations within the Philippines’ most iconic islands and destinations. This is a key advantage to both local and international markets, as we continue to enhance our extensive network connectivity.

“With the Puerto Princesa International Airport been able to handle international flights, it makes this hub attractive for direct connectivity to and from key foreign markets. And by offering more seats, Cebu Pacific Air will be able to help provide even lower fares to travellers and bring them to see the beauty of Palawan,” Candice concluded.

For bookings and inquiries, guests can visit or call the reservation hotlines on +612-9119-2956. The latest seat sales can be found on CEB’s official Twitter (@CebuPacificAir) and Facebook pages.
