The largest airline in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE: CEB) today launched a three-day seat sale offering Hong Kong holidaymakers an opportunity to explore the beauty of the Philippines. Renowned for pristine beaches, exotic coral reefs and warm, hospitable people, the Philippines is also home to three of the world’s best islands, according to Travel + Leisure magazine.

One-way direct flights from Hong Kong to Manila start from just HK$488 and to selected cities (Cebu, Clark and Iloilo) from just HK$588. The sale is valid until 31st March, 2017, and for travel between 1st September and 31st December, 2017. The quoted fares are inclusive of taxes and surcharges, but exclusive of baggage allowance and meals.

With 7,600 islands, the Philippines offers an almost limitless array of travel, adventure and leisure experiences. Travel + Leisure, the world’s leading travel magazine, recently unveiled its list of the world’s top islands, with Cebu, Boracay and Palawan ranking in the top 10, making the Philippines the ideal destination for a picture-perfect vacation.

“The Philippines is emerging as a popular destination for Hong Kong travellers, particularly couples, families and solo travellers who want to gain new and memorable experiences without having to go far from home,” said Atty. JR Mantaring, Cebu Pacific Vice-President for Corporate Affairs. “Those looking for sun, sand, food and culture need to look no further than the islands that make up our unique country – and Cebu Pacific, with its unbeatable network and fares, is the best way to take you there.”

With 37 domestic destinations, Cebu Pacific can take Hong Kong locals from their bustling megacity to a tranquil white sand beach, all within a few hours. It’s the only airline that connects Manila to five other provincial hubs and then on to islands that offer bespoke leisure accommodation, or exotic caves and waterfalls for the more daring adventure-seekers. The island of Cebu also offers easy access to dozens of stunning islands like Mactan Island, renowned for its luxury resorts and spas; and Olango Island, home to a wildlife sanctuary frequented by migratory birds.

What’s more, Manila boasts cultural sites such as the walled city of Intramuros and the world-famous sunset viewed from the Manila Bay. Just a few hours’ south of Manila is Puerto Galera, a UNESCO-protected site used by the Spaniards for the historic Galleon Trade. It boasts beautiful white sand beaches and one of the most diverse diving sites in Asia with the densest population of marine species in the world.
