Celebrate Australia Day in the historic Macarthur region – Including Giant Fireworks Display

Escape the frenzy of the city this Australia Day by celebrating this great nation in the historic Macarthur region – less than an hour from the Sydney CBD. Bring the kids for a day of family fun and activities including fireworks, carnival rides, free morning tea and BBQ, jumping castles and live performances of classic Australian music hits this Australia Day. The festivities will be held at three locations across the historic Macarthur region on Friday, January 26, 2018.

Camden – From 9:30am to 2pm, John St in Camden will host free activities including face painting, jumping castles, a thong throwing competition and live on-stage entertainment, playing classic Australian hits. An Australia Day Thanksgiving Service will take place at the Camden Civic Centre from 8.15am, followed by the Official Civic Awards and Citizenship Ceremony from 9am.

Campbelltown – An official ceremony will take place from 8am to 10amin Koshigaya Park recognising local heroes and new citizens. Then from 4pm to 9.30pm the park will be abuzz with carnival rides, Australiana themed market stalls, live on-stage entertainment throughout the night and to top it off, a  fireworks display from 9pm. Koshigaya Park is located next to the train station providing easy access for those who don’t want to drive.

Ingleburn – 11am-2pm – Beginning with a Citizenship Ceremony at 11am, the afternoon will be filled free games and activities for kids and a free morning tea and BBQ. Held at The Greg Percival Community Centre and Hallinan Park, Ingleburn.
