Fireworks, carnival rides, a talent showcase, free morning tea and BBQ, jumping castles and performances of classic Australian music hits are among the various Australia Day festivities that will be held at three locations across the historic Macarthur region on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
Camden – From 8am to 1pm, John St in Camden will host free activities including face painting, jumping castles, Australiana themed market stalls, a throng throwing competition and performances by Aussie cover band Mad Rhino, which will play classic Australian hits. An Australia Day Thanksgiving Service will take place at the Camden Civic Centre from 8.30am, followed by the Official Civic Awards and Citizenship Ceremony from 9.15am.
Campbelltown – An official ceremony will take place from 8am to 10am in Koshigaya Park. Then from 4pm to 9.30pm the park will be abuzz with carnival rides, market stalls, stage entertainment, fireworks from 9pm and the Macarthur Talent Showcase, an opportunity for aspiring performers to take the stage.
Ingleburn – 11am-2pm – Activities include Citizenship Ceremony, free games and activities for kids, morning tea and BBQ. Held at The Greg Percival Community Centre and Hallinan Park, Ingleburn
