Celebrate Christmas Day at the Hotel Windsor With an Exquisite Buffet or Degustation Lunch

Melbourne’s most cherished hotel, The Hotel Windsor has been a Christmas celebration stalwart for the past 134 years since its Victorian-era inception, and this year shall be no exception.

Famed for its Christmas parties and events, The Hotel Windsor will host its Christmas Day Lunch Buffet, as well as a decadent five-course Degustation Lunch, providing the finest selection of festive feasts in the city.

Executive Chef Jerome Tremoulet (Penfolds Magil Estate; Four Seasons, Los Angeles; French Fantasies) says, “I’m thrilled to be back at the hotel, and delighted to showcase the huge variety of wonderful produce that Victoria has to offer this Christmas, which we anticipate will be hugely popular.”

Christmas Day Lunch Buffet

Held in the magnificent Grand Ballroom and contemporary Bourke Room, the sumptuous and ever-so-indulgent lunch will serve the freshest selection of seafood, as well as a signature roasted turkey breast buffet, cranberry sauce and lemon jus gras from the carvery.

Guests will also indulge in dishes such as:

  • Baked free range ham, orange and ginger marmalade glaze
  • Venison and cep terrine
  • Tasmanian smoked salmon
  • Pickled beetroots, horseradish and crème fraiche

Alongside a complementing array of salads and vegetables.

Dessert will hit the sweet spot, with the choice of 13 different options including:

  • Chestnut Mont Blanc log
  • Trifle of Christmas spice and stone fruits
  • The Hotel Windsor’s plum pudding and brandy sauce fruit
  • The Hotel Windsor’s mince pies;

And a selection of local and imported cheese and condiments.

Adults: $299 per person

Children: $215 (13-18 years); $125 (4-12 years); under 3 years free

Grand Ballroom timings: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Bourke Room timings: 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Christmas Day Degustation Lunch

The exclusive One Eleven Restaurant Christmas Day Degustation Lunch will showcase modern Australian cuisine, with highlights including; terrine of Turkey leg and breast, Windsor prawn cocktail, confit Tasmanian ocean trout, honey mustard glazed lamb ham followed by the hotel’s lauded fruit mince pies and Christmas pudding.  A vegetarian menu is also available upon request.

Timings: 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm
