Celebrate National Chocolate Day with The Hotel Windsor’s Chocolate Decadence Afternoon Tea

The Hotel Windsor will be presenting the ultimate form of indulgence this July with its Chocolate Decadence Afternoon Tea, held for a limited time only from Thursday, 7 to Sunday, 17 July 2016, in celebration of National Chocolate Day on Thursday, 7 July.


To celebrate the nation’s favourite sweet treat, The Hotel Windsor will present a three tiered stand with an array of chocolate filled desserts, including a chocolate Earl Grey tart – chocolate tart with hazelnut and almond crunch and Earl Grey marquise;chocolate and ginger macaroon – chocolate macaroon filled with white chocolate and ginger custard, candied ginger; and chocolate banana mud cake – chocolate banana mud cake, caramelized bananas, rum milk chocolate trifle.

There will also be a decadent chocolate fountain with marshmallows, white chocolate dipped strawberries, cheesecake bites and brownie bites. As well as a sweet spin on The Hotel Windsor’s famous traditional and sultana scones, with a selection of chocolate, rum and golden raison and vanilla and buttermilk varieties, baked fresh daily and accompanied with clotted cream, lemon curd and Windsor jam.

On the weekends of 9th and 16th July, guests can enjoy an array of chocolate pastries and an indulgent chocolate dessert buffet, including chocolate pannacotta,white chocolate mousse with pistachio and rose, chocolate vacherin and Earl Grey crème diplomat, and a chocolate brownie log.

A menu of fine teas, espresso coffee and a glass of French sparkling wine will perfectly complement the sweet and savoury menu items.

Afternoon tea at The Hotel Windsor is a quintessential Melbourne experience, made for spoiling yourself and loved ones with a long, leisurely afternoon in a spectacular heritage listed building with timeless charm and an inviting atmosphere.

Limited seats are available for each session due to popularity, and guests are advised to secure reservations early.
