Food and wine lovers are invited to spend a weekend of Elevated Taste sampling award winning wine and cider paired perfectly with locally sourced seasonal produce on the 5th and 6th of April across the Granite Belt.

Now in its third year, Grazing the Granite belt is brought to you by Granite Belt Wine Country to celebrate Queensland wine week and features the best of the region’s produce in collaboration with award winning Granite Belt winemakers.Granite Belt Wine & Tourism Director of Marketing Sarah Reeves said “Grazing the Granite Belt is an authentic and intimate event that brings our visitors closer to the winemakers and producers that create the region’s finest drops.”

“We are excited that this event continues to bring Granite Belt winemakers together to showcase the amazing wine and produce on offer, and even prouder that the specially designed menu is a true celebration of the harvest and vintage season,” she said.

‘Grazers’ can elect to jump aboard the Fillipo’s Tours Grazing Bus that rotates around the seven participating wineries and one cidery all day Saturday on an hourly basis, or opt to self drive and graze at their own pace.

Chair of the Granite Belt Wine Committee Sam Costanzo said “as a boutique wine region that focuses on lesser known varieties, the wine industry is really proud to be working together to deliver this collaborative approach to food and wine matching.”

“This is a perfect opportunity to spend a weekend immersing in harvest, enjoying food and wine direct from the source and getting an easily accessible food and wine matching experience from a number of different producers – all while being able to hear their individual stories and passions,” she said

The paired food and wine menu can be enjoyed at award winning Granite Belt wineries including Ballandean Estate, Golden Grove, Hidden Creek, Jester Hill, Symphony Hill, Lucas Estate and Whiskey Gully.

Award winning Sutton’s Cidery will join the wineries to showcase the diversity of the region’s produce.

The full menu and tickets are available online at www.granitebeltwinecountry.com.au or by calling the Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre on 1800 762 665.
