Celebrate The Art Of The Holiday Season At Two-Michelin Star Duddell’s

unnamed (3)Duddell’s, a dining and arts institution in the heart of Hong Kong, is offering an exclusive festive dining experience and specially crafted menus for guests to indulge in this December including an 8- and 10-course Winter Solstice tasting menu, a Christmas Eve 8-course tasting menu, brunch for both Christmas Day and Boxing Day and an 8-course tasting menu for New Year’s Eve.

Executive Chef Siu Hin-chi uses his wealth of experience and culinary skills to re-imagine traditional flavours and textures with a modern flair, creating innovative and exciting dishes to enjoy with friends and family during the festive season. To foster the holiday spirit, starting on 1 December Bar Manager Marek Vojcarcik will be serving a special cocktail, “Warm Mr. Scrooge,” a combination of peaches, orange peels and Becherovka, served warm and over the light of candle (HK$128).

Duddell’s will kick-off the winter season on 22 December with an exclusive, one-night-only Winter Solstice 8- and 10-course tasting menu, featuring traditional Cantonese dishes such as Barbecued Pork with Honey,  Sautéed Garoupa with Vegetable in Dried Tangerine Peel and the restaurant’s signature Crispy Salted Chicken. The menu, to be enjoyed with friends and family, is HK$2880 plus 10% for 4 persons.

Christmas Eve at Duddell’s features Chef Siu Hin-chi’s exceptional creations in the form of an 8-course tasting menu (HK$980 per person). Savour in East means West with his Pan-fried Lamb Loin with Crispy Garlic and Premium Soy Sauce or re-appreciate an old classic with Baked Sago Pudding with Lotus Seed Paste.

Duddell’s takes care of the hard work on Christmas Day and Boxing Day with their sumptuous and generous dim sum brunch featuring favourite dishes such as Braised E-fu Noodles with Mushrooms, Crispy Glutinous Dumpling with Shrimp, Pork and Chive andCrispy Pork Ribs in Sweet and Sour Sauce. Brunch is HK$580 with free flow soft drinks and HK$750 with the pairing of free flow of VCP Rosé or other alcoholic beverages.

Duddell’s signature crispy salted chicken

For New Year’s Eve, revellers are invited to ring in 2016 with a feast to remember. Duddell’s 8-course tasting menu (HK$980 per person) uses exquisite produce including Braised King Prawn with Egg White and Crab Coral, Fried Rice with Wagyu Beef and Garlicand Crispy Baby Pigeon.

Art-loving guests will enjoy the 2-Michelin starred authentic Cantonese cuisine against a backdrop of exceptional artwork from some of Asia’s most prominent artists. On display on the third floor at Duddell’s during the holiday season include Chinese ink paintings from the M K Lau Collection. The exhibition, titled Mesmerized by Ink: The Art of Two Hong Kong Masters, is co-curated by Catherine Maudsley and showcases two very individual and influential ink artists, Ding Yanyong and Lui Shou-kwan. On the fourth floor, guests can view Song Dong: Sketch, an exhibition that pays homage to artist Song Dong’s early works with photography and videos of his globally renowned installations, Eating the City, Edible Penjing, as well as ceramic sculptures.

With its Michelin-starred cuisine, cultured setting and world class art adorning the walls, Duddell’s is a unique and socially vibrant place for guests to celebrate the festive season and welcome the New Year.

Please note that from 24-26 December, Duddell’s will be open from 12nn-3pm for lunch and 6pm-10pm for dinner.
