Trees of Hope founder Fairmont Château Laurier is attempting to beat last year’s record donation of more than US$80,000 to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario by hosting trees sponsored and decorated by local Ottawa companies, organisations and families. At Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, guests can purchase a holiday ornament for $20 to receive $20 off any a la carte spa or wellness treatment at the Well & Being Spa, with all proceeds benefiting Cox Charities. Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont will co-host several local Whistler artists as they live paint their version of a “Tree of Hope” to be displayed all through the festive season, raising funds and awareness for the Canuck’s Place Children’s Hospice. Fairmont Palliser has teamed up with Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southern Alberta for the second year, donating the proceeds from each gingerbread ornament sold to help support sick children and their families staying at the House. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, includingFairmont San Francisco, Claremont Club & Spa, A Fairmont Hotel and Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, have partnered with the Do It For the Love Foundation to sell exclusive ornaments benefiting the organisation, which brings people living with life-threatening illnesses, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans to live concerts.

Make the most of the season at one of New York City’s most iconic holiday hotels, The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. Celebrate lavish productions and precision high kicks with the Christmas Spectacular Experience. The Plaza’s most popular holiday package includes luxurious accommodations and tickets to a matinee performance of the magical Radio City Christmas Spectacular, one of the city’s most beloved holiday traditions. Fans of Eloise can revel with The Plaza’s most famous resident at “Rawther” Fancy Teas and gingerbread house and cookie decorating at the Eloise at The Plaza shop on select dates throughout the month of December. Toast 2016 with the Ring in the New Year Package, with two tickets for the Black Tie New Year’s Eve event in The Palm Court. Enjoy cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and an elegant dinner buffet by The Plaza’s talented culinary team. Art and architectural detail have always held pride of place at Fairmont Pacific Rim. The hotel is turning its attention to the holidays, partnering with Versace Home Vancouver to re-imagine the traditional Christmas tree. It all begins with a chair – a Versace chair, then another chair, perhaps stacked or turned upside-down; and another. Iconic Versace home accessories will be added, and on November 23rd, this feat of imagination and engineering will be revealed just in time for the holidays. It will stand beside a 15-foot traditional tree, stylised by Versace Home, in the hotel lobby, serving as the focal point for holiday décor.
At Fairmont Chicago, guests can purchase a Snow Man in a Box and head out the hotel’s front doors to the winter wonderland that awaits them in the neighboring parks. Complete with a jaunty top hat, carrot nose, River Rock eyes, fluffy red scarf, colorful buttons and oak stick arms, this kit includes all the supplies needed to dress a new frozen friend in style and bring out the kid in everyone. The hotel will also host its second annual Cookies and Cheer, Luxury Cookie Exchangeon December 3, allowing guests to enjoy cookies and cocktails without any kitchen time, leaving the festive, modern soiree with three dozen delectable holiday cookies of their choice, wrapped in extravagant custom packaging.
The talented culinary team at Fairmont San Francisco will once again transform the hotel’s grand lobby into one of the world’s most cherished holiday destinations with an enormous two-story Gingerbread House. Lovingly built by Executive Chef Andrew Court and Executive Pastry Chef Kimberly Tighe, the house will stand more than 22 feet high and 23 feet wide, boasting a completely edible exterior, thousands of home-baked gingerbread bricks and more than a ton of royal icing and candy décor. This delectable abode will be unveiled at the annual Gingerbread Open House on November 28, complete with holiday refreshments, merry music and photo opportunities with Santa Claus, a Balloon Elf and a Christmas Fairy.
Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has transformed into a winter wonderland desert oasis during its 6th annual Christmas at the Princess festival. The enchanting AAA Five Diamond resort glistens with holiday splendor, featuring a four-story musical tree, Desert Ice Skating Rink, magical snowfalls, 2.8 million Lagoon Lights, three new holiday characters and nightly visits from jolly ol’ St. Nick himself. Guests can board the Princess Express train for a complimentary ride to see the lights twinkle and dance to holiday songs, watch an animated video show featuring holiday scenes set to music, or visit the Christmas Petting Zoo.
