What better way to celebrate World Cowboy Day on July 27 than with Australia’s ultimate cowboys putting on one of the most exciting horse shows in the world today?  The award-winning Australian Outback Spectacular has just been added to the already incredible festival program for Groundwater Country Music Festival to be held within a new performance space at the event called The Outback Arena which will also boast artist performances.

This is the first time that Australian Outback Spectacular has ever partnered with a music festival, and attendees will be lucky enough to see these unmissable performances for free!

Held on the Gold Coast July 26-28, Groundwater is Australia’s fastest growing country music festival where country meets the coast. The non-ticketed free event features 50 top shelf acts across 15 stages throughout Broadbeach’s bars, restaurants, streets and parks with the stunning beaches as your stage backdrop. Click here to view the 2019 Groundwater sizzle reel.

Keeping with the theme of the Australian Outback, Broadbeach Alliance is happy to announce Drought Angels as Groundwater’s official charity partner for this year. Based in Chinchilla, Queensland, Drought Angels support Aussie farmers and their rural communities with personal assistance through food hampers, care packs, prepaid visas, and local store vouchers. There will be several collection points around the festival precinct and their volunteers will be encouraging patrons to dig deep for our Aussie farmers.

To view the full 2019 program, download the free Groundwater Country Music Festival App and use the ‘myplanner’ function to organise which artists you want to see and when to make sure you don’t miss any of your favourites! If you missed the action last year, check out some of the 2018 highlights here.

Highlights of the festival include Friday and Saturday performances from US country-rockers Davisson Brothers Band who are highly anticipated after their knockout shows in Australia last year and Sunday performances from the reigning King and Queen of Australian Country Music Lee Kernaghan and Beccy Cole. There will also be two spectacular shows, ‘Far From Folsom, Songs of Johnny Cash’ featuring Tex Perkins & the Tennessee Four with Rachael Tidd, and John Schumann & Shane Howard of Redgum & Goanna present ‘Songs that Changed our Country’.
