Celebrating 6 in ‘the 6’ at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto
As Hollywood’s elite descend on the city for this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto will unveil a star-studded line up of its own as it prepares to celebrate six years at the festival.
In honour of its 6th in ‘the 6’, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto has created specialty themed menus in its restaurants, lounges, and award-winning luxury spa. At celebrity hotspots, DEQ Loungeand Ritz Bar, a Toronto-inspired cocktail menu includes such libations as the Red Rocket and the Bay Street Bull. At a price of $600, ‘The 6′ cocktail gives an Oscar-worthy performance with blended scotch whiskey, bitters, vanilla rooibos syrup, fine Italian vermouth, and finished with Remy Martin Louis XIII Grande Champagne.
For those VIPs looking for some last-minute pampering before the red carpet, Spa My Blend by Clarins will feature a selection of services that promise to have guests ready for the spotlight. The 6-treatment menu includes such services as the Leading Man, Scene Stealer, or the Star for a Day package featuring a Relaxing Body Wrap, Rebalancing Massage, exclusive My Blend Facial with Anti-Aging Eye Treatment, and a classic manicure and pedicure.
At the signature downtown restaurant TOCA, a 6-course tasting menu by Michelin-star chef Oliver Glowig is sure to satisfy any post-gala cravings. Available from September 8-17th, the menu includes items such as seared Quebec foie gras with raspberry sorbet and pickled red onion; halibut with fava beans, peas, spring onion, and artichoke chips; and 12-hour braised beef cheek with olive oil mashed potatoes and leeks.
Throughout the 10-day festival, The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto will also feature several specialty activities in its lobby such as a champagne garden, café, candy stations, complimentary make up touch-ups, and a step and repeat board for guests to capture their own special moments at #RCTIFF.
