The main dining room on board every ship across the Princess Cruises fleet will feature a series of personally-crafted menus by Curtis Stone, as part of an exclusive partnership with the celebrity chef, TV host, entrepreneur and author.
Guests in Asia can look forward to tasting some of his signature dishes on board Diamond Princess during its inaugural homeporting season in Singapore next month.
Travel agents and the media were invited onboard Emerald Princess today for an exclusive preview to taste highlights from the menu at ‘Share,’ the new specialty restaurant helmed by Curtis Stone. The menu offers original creations that exuberate his signature style dishes, ranging from comfort food to decadent desserts. Emerald Princess was in Singapore today for a brief stopover en-route to Sydney, Australia, where it will be deployed for the next six months.
“We are excited that Singapore was chosen for ‘Share’ to debut in Asia. This partnership with Curtis Stone is in line with Princess Cruises’ top quality offerings of unique, world-class experiences when it comes to dining and relaxing. Our guests can now experience Curtis Stone’s menu onboard without going to his restaurant,” said Farriek Tawfik, Director of Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises.
“We are also thrilled to be homeporting in this region for another season with Diamond Princess for the first time, and have the opportunity to pamper guests with world-class offerings including unique Japanese-themed facilities,” he said.
Guests onboard Diamond Princess can experience Japan’s culture as they step into the largest Japanese bath at sea (the Izumi Japanese Bath features two indoor areas and one outdoor hydrotherapy pool styled after the famous traditional public baths of Japan), or dine at Kai Sushi (the specialty restaurant offering Japanese delicacies).
Guests in Asia will also be able to enjoy the new Princess Luxury Beds when Majestic Princess arrives in Singapore in June 2017, and on sailings based in Southeast Asia in Q4 2017 for the Fall cruise season. As part of the recently announced Club Class stateroom category offering, the new Princess Luxury Beds will be rolled out progressively across the fleet, starting 2017 for ships deployed in Asia.
“We are confident that these new and exciting offerings will be well-received by our guests in Asia, who are always on the lookout for new and memorable experiences. We will also continue to find innovative ways of giving our guests meaningful and enriching holidays that will also leave them fully refreshed after the cruise,” added Tawfik.
Diamond Princess will be deployed in Singapore for the first time for Princess Cruises’ third homeporting season (November 2016 to March 2017).
